I am considering buying hosting. I have looked on the web and seen only good things written about LunarPages.com. At $7.95 per month (paying 12 months up front) their hosting costs a little more than I was expecting to pay and the bandwidth and storage are more than I believe I need, but if they are the best $7.95 is not much to pay.

Has anybody used Lunar Pages? If so, what were your experiences like?

Thank you for your replies.

At the moment I think I will continue to use the free hosting from the ISP for my main blog and start a new blog to promote my domains. In the future, once I have a greater knowledge of my hosting requirements, I will investigate further.

Lunarpages' reputation is great.

No harm going with them.

I've used Lunarpages.com for a couple of years now, and I can really recommend them.

Their customer service is great (and fast), and I have never experienced any real problems with them.

You can find a couple of other recommended webhosts in my signature as well.. :)

The owner of Dathorn is active in his forums and in responding to support tickets. Be aware that he does not suffer people gladly. :tri:

Lunarpages, on the other hand, has an excellent reputation and offers very good support by ticket, email, and through an impressive support forum.

There is also another host with an excellent reputation that offers 333 meg for under $5. I can track down the name for you if you're interested.

Thank you repliers. I have had a look at Dathorn and am impressed by their unlimited domain feature. At the moment I am looking at having 3 domains (the limit at Lunar Pages) but in the future I'm sure I'll want more.

Yes, Tom (Professor), if you could find this host I would be happy, thanks.

Found it: ICDsoft . com. I haven't used them myself but they have been recommended highly for excellent service and support. Their $5 / 333 meg price only allows one domain name to be hosted, however.

If you are looking to host multiple domains, a "reseller" account will give you the best options and price for the money. Being able to host "unlimited" domains simply means that you can host as many as fit into your alloted diskspace and bandwidth transfer.

Thank you Tom!

I think I will go with Lunar Pages. 3 domains is enough for now and I will add some later if necessary.
