What do you think of tripod?

I use them for free hosting and i'm considering updating to a pay service so i can get rid of the banner ads, what are peoples experiences with them?

If you're planning on switching to paid hosting I would suggest going with anything other than tripod or any of the other free hosts. Their tech support would likely be appauling as they would have thousands of clients and the servers may be a bit laggy.

bearing in mind affordability, ease of use and good customer support?

I once lost all of my files during an early Tripod "upgrade" of services several years ago. Tech support was virtually non-existent and then absolutely unhelpful.

There are excellent webhosts around with very little charge (under $5 / month large diskspace and bw transfer) or free. Use the search function here and you'll find a variety of low cost or free webhosting services.

i would never use tripod as a host...they where really slow a while ago and now kinda hate them lol

go with another host who will proably do you a better deal
