I've found a few keyword terms in the google keyword tool that aren't registered that have low global and local search volume but it's CPC is $12.00+

Should I reg this? It's a term that's has a lot of interest in fitness.

Fitness niche in general is very saturated and i'd advise you to refrain from regging such names unless you had plans for development. It really would depend, for me, on the potential/popularity of the keyword, how low the search volume is, etc.

well, I haven't regged it yet, so I don't want to give it out. But in the fitness world, it's a quite well known "keywords" as in, it's used a lot in questions, discussions, etc.

I see. Didn't expect you to give out the name. I've got quite a bit of experience in the field and there are already tons of authoritative platforms available to users seeking information on various nutrition, fitness, strength, etc programs. If they keyword you are referring to has to do with the theoretical aspect of fitness (ie. nutrition, strength, etc), then I wouldn't bother trying to compete with the likes of Bodybuilding.com and many other well-developed sites. If it's a certain supplement you're referring to, you may be able to develop some kind of informative/e-commerce type site but that's thoroughly covered on bodybuilding.com as well.

Just my insight though; if you feel the keyword has potential, register it and do as you wish. Best of luck!

I'm a member over at bodybuilding.com as well, so I understand what you're saying, but how many of your average women, and men are going to join a site they may assume is for body builders?

Bodybuilding.com does have a ton of information across the gambit of fitness, but it's domain name itself, prevents certain types of people from joining it, thinking they are joining a site on body building when that's not what they want to accomplish with their fitness levels. Does that make sense?
