I am selling anything in my life that is of no real use to me to raise some money to take care of my sick mother. One of those items is a domain.

I'm not selling multiple domains. Just the one. GoDaddy estimates it at a value of $1,200. I could use GoDaddy's automated service but feel like I could probably do better?

So if anyone has some useful tips off the bat, feel free to share. Otherwise a few questions:

1. Should I try to sell it on my own?

2. Or do you recommend one of the mannnnnny third party services out there?

3. If so, for my circumstances, which one?

4. In either case, should I swap out the current index page for a basic For Sale page? Or if I use a third party service like SEDO or Flippa, does my domain point to them?

Hi

all that other stuff you said, is really irrelevant to what the actual domain name is

additionally, stating a hardship as reason for selling, may only get you the lowest bids for your name, when you make such personal issues public.

best thing you can do is just present the domain for advice on where to sell
or create a sales thread here on the forum and take offers.

imo...
