Hi Everyone

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of longtail keywords on domains which are keyword domains and domains which have the keyword domains in them but with added characters on them and how the longtail differs

Say im wanting to rank for cheapcomputerspeakers

As long as the onpage SEO is done correctly, do you think the longtail would be the same, or very near the same if you have

cheapcomputerspeakers compared to cheapcomputerspeakersuk

Basically, would the added characters whatever they are make a differencce to the amount of longtail i would get?

For the google keyword tool, the exact match is actually very low for alot of keywords so in a way looking to get the exact domain name is one factor but as long as the onpage SEO is done correctly, the traffic should still be more or less the same?

Hope that makes sense

Many Thanks

Longtail keywords in domain will help. But it will just help not do the work itself.

EX: You can rank nicely with cheapcomputerspeakers.tld

But someone else can also rank nicely for same keywords with anybrandname.tld

i don't think that stuffing keywords into a domain will help all that much after a certain point. in your example, i would prefer cheapcomputerspeakers or better yet, cheapcomputerspeakers.co.uk. ;)

I think it would be better than something that has nothing to do with your subject. But this is everything search engines try to eliminate. So, it may work well for you now but search engines are going to get better and better at distuingishing

I've seen examples of people ranking really well where the extra characters didn't matter. But would they have done better with an exact match? And by how much? Who knows...
