I would have bid at least $2.50 for that one, damn!!!

I remember in the UK after the last property crash back in the early 90's whole streets selling for $5-10k. Yeah you wouldn't want to live in these areas, but was a great investment as only a year ago houses in this area were selling close to $200k. Of course, they are dropping so damn quick now, they will be back to a few k with in a year or two :hehe:

She paid too much.. not worth fixing up IMO. And it's costing her $850 in associated costs so not really $1.75.

A piece of property under a grand.!? I think that is worth the money pretty much anywhere. Even if you demolish the house and build a little shack you can still sell it for more than what you paid for construction and buying it.

I'm assuming from the shape of it, it's in an economically depressed area. There are "good buys" and "smart buys".. I think this might be a good buy but not much of a smart one. :imho:
