Logo help not same color

Since my top header has a fading color to it, I tried taking a screen shot of the area, I then pasted it in photoshop and croped it to the area where I wanted the logo. But when I save you can see the background color does not match up. Any tips for fixing this? Transparency would be great but IE doesn't like png.

That background looks like it would be hard to match up. Since your logo is fairly simple and doesnt have a lot of effects to it, what about saving it as a .gif? You can use transparency in .gifs.
