Hi there,
My name is Allan, and I'm an ASP.Net developer who has started an online business selling retro gaming kit (mostly Amigas and CD32s) with a friend.
I'm a skilled developer, but design is not one of my strong suits, so I'm looking for someone to design us a logo for our site. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to pay you for the work, but if you're looking to expand your portfolio and feel you can do a professional job then it looks like we're in a great position to help eachother.
We already have a colour scheme, which you can see at http://www.retropack.co.uk. I've also taken the liberty of collecting a few graphics that we thought would work well in our logo, these are available as a PNG at http://www.retropack.co.uk/retropack.png.
We feel it's important to have the Amiga (contained within the PNG) within the graphic, as well as the company name "RetroPack.co.uk". The other items in the PNG are sprites from various famous Amiga games, if we could have the sprites somehow "interacting" with the Amiga and eachother that would be ideal. The scaling is out on all these graphics, so you will need to adjust the various images dimensions.
The logo should replace the DotNetNuke logo you see at http://www.retropack.co.uk. It should have the same dimensions as this existing logo (ie 279px by 86px).
If you can, I'd like the final logo to be provided in PNG format so that we can fully optimise it for the web.
If you can help, then do please have a go at a design and email it to me. You will, of course, receive full creditation on our website and we'd be happy to be mentioned as part of your portfolio.
Kind Regards,
Allan Thompson
