.mobi Local Portals - Anyone interested?

Hello all,

For the past few months I have been developing a local portal service. This portal features a local/entertainment search using the Yahoo API. It also features an RSS news feed from local news sources.

I have this set up to search a specific state, all the end user has to do is put in a city.

This portal also features classifieds, a message board, member functions such as an inbox, search for members, a chat, edit profile, view profile, change password, etc.

In the second version I'm going to be adding stock quotes, small text based games, and a couple more features I have hiding up my sleeves.

I'm going to be selling these portals as part of localportal.mobi when it's up, but I wanted to gain some interest to see if people wanted to lease any of these early.

I'm currently working on an admin panel that will give you total control of your site, without going into PhpMyAdmin.

I'm still trying to figure out if I want to sell the script outright, with terms of service being you may not duplicate, resell or reuse the script without permission or purchase of another copy.

Another option is to host them and give users access to the admin panel. I've put alot of work into this portal, and ultimately I dont want to get ripped off in the end.

Any thoughts?

also I could not get the local search function to work.

when searching 'bars' 'chicago' 135185 results came up. heres the first ten results- cleveland, ocean city, chicago, pensacola, atlanta, atlanta, dearborn, buffalo, miramar beach and cleveland.

It's set up to search Massachusetts, not nation-wide. Thats why there are so many results, I guess I can look in to doing a national version too.

I would be interested in the second version of your portal...I have two pure geo city.mobi
domains that I need to develope, combined with the nice looks from mix-drinks.mobi, I think they would be great sites to have up & also encourage more geo.mobi domain development.. your bed & breakfast script would be perfect for one of my city.mobi domains..so can you localize it down to city or are all the portals state only? Thanks in advance.
