Load times for pages

I have setup and modded extensively my new site at www.teendiscuss.com
I was wondering how the load times are for everyone, It seems to be a bit slow for me and I cannot figure out why.

loads perfectly for me.

I don't think people, especially the extremely critical group society labels teenagers, are going to come back to your site if:

a) it takes 5 minutes to get to your site through all the popups
b) there is a massive adsense ad taking up 1/4 of the page, and breaking the design up
c) there is a stupid "free screensavers" ad in the middle of the page. - no teen is going to get a free screensaver. I should know, I am one!

very slow here your top banner is 5+kb and your bottom banner is only 3+kb which are fairly optimized to me. can't figure that as well.

PoorDoggie, you say you're getting popups? I though I had gottenrid of all of them. Is that what is slowing the site down?

I get some popups, and MSIE tells me it has blocked a couple too.

I also didn't say that the banners were slow loading, but I said they were ugly, and brought the whole site down.
