A favorite category of mine is LLtv com/net/org all 676 are regged in all 3 top extensions.

Does anyone else follow this area or own any ?

They do get some traffic, and IMO the cool thing is you can redirect that traffic to a developed TV site and the person who typed in the LLTV may stay on the site. They probably are looking for some kind of online entertainment by typing in a tv name.

I like LLLtv.com too Jack, I just think there only being 676 make the LL even more valuable. I picked up BNTV.net on Namejet for only $69 I was the only bidder on the name but the name 10 years old and IMO is worth $69, I handregged the few remaining LLtv.org a few months back, I did a check last night and there were 7 new that dropped. RqTV.net YWtv.net YqTv.net QGtv.net JzTV.org SwTV.org ZDtv.org. Regged them all and waited til last minute on NAMEJET tonight as SA TV (.)net dropped. Bid $69 only bidder on the name. Checking Google a lot of SA TV in the world. South America TV, South Africa TV, San Antonio TV etc.......

The other thing with these handregged a lot of them get 70 uniques a month or more, but at 70 thats 840 Uniques for a year. That cost $7 actually the .net $6. Now 840 visits on Google adwords at just .10 a click cost me $84 here I am getting that for less than 1/10. So if you have 10 or 20 or 30 you could be bringing 25,000 visits for the cost of $210 at $7 for 30 names. Those same visits on Google would cost min $2500 at .10 a click.

I can certainly confirm that SOME of these three-letter TV.com names get over 70 uniques a month. My best performer this month is 77 for WOBtv.com. However, it should also be noted that many don’t reach those heights at all and are in the single digits each month.

Mathematically, there are only 17576 of this type of name and I bagged over 100. A lot of these came up for renewal recently and were promptly kept.

With a good ad system, many of these names could no doubt maintain themselves financially. I didn’t buy them for revenue but for their end-use possibilities (OAPtv.com and JOGtv.com are examples of stand-alones, but WOBtv.com IOCtv.com are examples of ‘what-could-be’s such as WorldOFBeerTV.com or InternationalOceansCongressTV.com etc).

I bought them with the logic that if just one sold for a good price it would keep the rest in the fold for the next few years - leaving my filming/development options on these names open. I did have quite a lot of negotiations about IOWtv.com (Isle of Wight), especially as the IOW.tv name is a Premium of $4500 a year (I think the name was taken at $500 a year at the time), but the buyer didn’t reach the price I wanted.

I should also mention that I did buy 100 or so two-letter TV.co.uk's and within the first few months sold OHTV.co.uk to some really great guys who now fit it in with their OpeanHeavensTV channel on UK satellite. The deal wasn't big, but enough to renew the rest.

In a similar vein I also purchased a few two-letter TV.TV's

I also realised that man y of the country codes were available as well on the TVXX.TV format. The fact is that many countries (like Spain, France etc, use the word 'TV' FIRST in their normal language ie TV France rather than France TV).

I then got as many as I could and informed this forum that others were still available. I think the suggestion at the time was that they were a waste of space.

Anyway I still have some, including...

I think that if you know the country code for your own country (ie UK or US) and then look at TVUK.tv or TVUS.tv, you realise they are quite natural and easily brandable.

Having said ALL that it goes without saying that I would sell any of them in an instant if anyone feels an offer coming on!

OH I was speaking about LLtv for the 70 Jimbo, but I agree I have a lot of LLLtv.com too and some of them get 50 to 200 a month. LLLTV.com I actually own and it gets the most, the traffic comes mostly from Europe. iiiTV.com gets 50 to 100 too. Funny thing I own a few LNtv.com which I wrote about awhile back, I9tv.com gets 100 a month min and M8tv.com or MATE gets 100 to 200.

I don't have any LLTV.com but I am in a similar situation as Jimbo whereby one of my best performers is an LLLtv.com -Hawtv.com.... This domain has averaged 179 visits/mth since January 2008 with a CTR of 13.4%

Yeah. I've got Bictv.com which gets traffic. No idea why.

Well, I have lots of llltv.com and couple of lltv.orgs.
lllTVs are getting nice traffic (for a parked site), and one with the highest traffic, over 120 a month is saoTV. llTV.orgs rarely gets more then 20 visits per month.
