Perhaps it would have never sold and the current brand only choose the name because it was free to reg. Would you mind sharing the name? Would make it a lot easier to determinate if you let a potential gold mine expire.

Hey Nav,

If it doesn't mean anything, chances on selling it is really short.

Imagine you register hundreds of them and hold for 10 years, $10 renewal for 100 names... 10K investment.

And what is the price range for meaningless 5 letter domains? I don't think it would even recover your initial investment at the first place.

Brandable domains is tricky and you need to be super lucky so someone else really wants that made up 5L word instead of other alternatives. There are hundreds of other extensions available for a random 5L keyword.

I suggest that it is always safe to invest in descriptive domains 1 or 2 keyword category killer domains.

Hope it helps.

I really think they picked the name because it was available to reg because the name makes no sense to their current business; they would've chosen another short, free to reg .com over kecop if you hadn't let it expire. I wouldn't miss a night's sleep if I were you. Cheers

If it makes any difference, the site looks a template that was just put on there to show use.

It calls itself 3 different names; "Kecop", "NEOOAK", and "Kiseer".

Now just for fun go to "kiseer.com" and "NEOOAK.com". You will find the same exact shell template, with a few changes. Except that NEOOAK does not have a .css file loaded and the site loads incorrectly.

If I had to guess, it looks like someone is either running a scam or using the domains for SEO purposes and are just putting templates on them and filling them with copied articles.

So sorry @Nav bundhoo , looks like the domain is just as worthless today as when you dropped it. So sleep easy, you made the right call.
