New Member Disclaimer: Four letter domain names are a relatively new investment category that is only beginning to gain traction in Dotcom. This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

It was only a matter of time... First King Com. Then .CN fell. And now... I present to you LLLL.net :!:

This thread is designed to elicit discussion about LLLL.nets. You're encouraged to post anything you feel is relevant to LLLL.nets in this thread. This includes sales information, new regs, ...

Premiums are dropped daily. You just have to find them.

1. Tasters don't know about LLLL.net possible value
2. They are old-timers and adhere to the "only 3L-domains-have-value" policy

Who can recommend software to scan large number of domains for availability?

I think of tasting as regging available names, seeing if they have traffic and, if not, refunding them within the 5 day grace period. I know tasters sometimes refund and re-buy the same name a few times but these prems would have to be tasted 15 or 20 times in succession (or more since these ones were surely bought before the buyout on Feb 5) to still be taster drops - unless I'm missing something (always a distinct possibility :) ).

I would have thought these ones were more likely to be expired names - or do all LLLL.net expireds get picked up by one of the dropcatchers?

Every single domain is picked up when it expires (drops).

Now you know why glabnet has his scanning tool and shows you the domains after he picks up the good ones, lol.

Premium LLLL.net is registered last year, for a purpose...
It expired last month and nobody picked up on it.
It drops and gets regged.

It's likely, especially because LLLL.net's are no where near as popular as LLLL.com's

I have it. It make full scan of all LLLL.net for about 1.30 - 2.15 hours.
But to catch everyday's deleted (dropped) domains it is not necessary to scan a large amount of domains.
It is necessary to create only database with all registered domains with "Expiration Date" and than to scan every 5 min only 4,500 - 5,500 domains daily (The 20 threads scanner do it for 3 min).
After that you have all dropped (deleted) domains in real time regime.

However, I wish to tell to you, that with this scanner good domains cannot be registered now - Them were already registered by registrars earlier.

Sorry, I'm a little thick...

I still don't get how quad prems like nflh, idtr, and dgir are "taster drops". They must have started tasting them 3 months ago or more. They have to be deleted within 5 days - and then re-bought... This would have to happen at least 20 times for each of these names to still be taster drops. Why would anybody taste the same name 20 times?

I don't get it.

Why does a domain have to drop 20 times to be a taster drop?

I don't get it.

Person regs domain in 2007.
Domain expiries january
taster registers it at the end of march
doesn't realise LLLL.net's are valuable
drops name
becomes regable yesterday

it's easily possible?
