This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

$20 for a geo CVCV ? It must be really bad. Let`s see if someone thinks its more valuable.....who offers more? I may have to open a thread sale if I get another offer.....it could be me being wrong if there are 2 bidders , then .net sells ...

It's because not right time, BTW where do you sell them?
For me it's enough that I'm receiving offers from end users :)

that`s right....NOT RIGHT TIME.

and by that time LLLL.com will be diamonds.

I wish you to become Millionaire with the LLLL.net (that will mean I`ll be Millionaire with the LLLL.com earlier :sold: ).

I think the one important thing to consider with LLLL.nets is the upfront cost versus LLLL.com. Even a very poor LLLL.com will set you back at least $25 lately, whereas a quad premium LLLL.net can be had for $5-6.

Seeing as quad premium LLLL.coms fetch about $250 min, it's not inconceivable to see quad premium LLLL.nets fetching $10-$20 in the near future once they're out of stock. It's a ROI game with LLLL.nets... They'll definitely not go up anywhere near as much in absolute terms, but ROI-wise, I do think they have long-term potential. I still think it's too early to buy them however... I'd take a quad premium LLLL.net anyday over an anti-premium LLLL.com @ $100, but at current prices, I still think people are better off investing in LLLL.coms. You can still get a very nice LLLL.com for $100 today with 3 premium letters -- something that's guaranteed to only increase in the future.

I'd say give quad premium LLLL.nets 6 months... By that time the market should have matured a bit. Quad premium LLLL.com prices should also be sufficiently high so as to have created a (real) market for these names. It's pretty easy to imagine flipping these for $10 per and netting a 100% ROI... It's crossed my mind on numerous occasions... The important element is the timing. If you buy them today, there's still the risk that they won't sell out before there's sufficient time left to flip them before needing to pay for renewals... If you buy them 6 months from now, you're pretty much set imho -- at least then you're only risking your initial regfee, rather than doubling the stakes and hence the risk.

that`s right, the thing is that I hate .net, I personally see .net as one of the most useless extensions, the ugly duck, the second best......all companies prefer .com and you get an endusers who would not be able to pay $1,000 for a LLLL.com then what does make you think they would buy a .net for $100 ? They`d rather hand reg a 5L.com for reg fee or the .info for $3

And as Reece pointed, you reg Premium LLLL.net today and what if in 12 months they are not gone? They`ll be worth ZERO because domainers would still prefer reg the other ones with a full year ahead.

The problem is that choosing .net is like choosing to race with a car which has the handbreak ON......against the Ferrari .com you lose immediately.

A 100 % ROI is still not appealing at all considering the .com is giving much more and much faster than that.

I don`t want to be a.net naysayer because I`d love to have one more opportunity to make money but I like to see things realistically and if I look at all the sales around , the .com sells for 95 % of all sales, while you see .net sales very rarely.

It`s quite upsetting me to see that no one of the LLLL.com naysayers have popped here to criticise the .net .....did they lose their confidence all together or they are too busy chasing the .com ?

In my opinion this niche is 2 years minimun too early and if people reg them now, they must be prepared to pay 3 years reg fee (which means $18 each name at Godaddy) and expect very lower ROI than what they could achieve with the corrispondent .com version.

I just can`t see .net , I really dislike it.
.info has a right purpose
.org has a right pupose

but .net , .biz and .name could be deleted together with .eu and .asia (even before it starts :yell: )

For me... I know the 4L .net buyout is gonna happen but I just dont get the feel to buy like I did with 4L.coms :-/

Im not saying all .nets are worthless because we know they are not I think companies *not all* will still look for .coms and will just look elsewhere. That not forgetting the loss of traffic to .coms.

Just me :)

Internet isn't just companies. And .net is very good extension. I sold my АPNL.nеt for 450$ to the customer who seems not to purchase АPNL.cоm for 4950$. Since I paid just 5$ for it I have nice ROI.

expensive dot coms will persuade small companies and organizations to buy LLLL.net instead of LLLL.com. If you are domainer you can afford buying LLL.com for 20k but if you are small company you can't afford to buy it for 20k. And expensive LLL.coms made an end-user market for LLL.net and LLL.org. The same will be with LLLL.coms. The history is always repeating.

Andrei : how many people think that APNL.com was overpriced asking $5K ?

One or few examples out of 90,000 Premium won`t really be significant.

Why do you think that the LLLL.com were already almost registered when the countdown started and domainers got involved? There were more than 350,000 LLLL.com already registered.....while it`s the opposite with .net

There must be a good reason for this.
