New Member Disclaimer: Four letter domain names are a relatively new investment category that is only beginning to gain traction in Dotcom. This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

There are currently 209,625 LLLL.nets available (as at the 24th March 2008). Hence there's now only 45.87% of the total 456,976 LLLL.nets available. This is down by 423 in 5 days.

Run a search for available LLLL.net domains!
423 names regged in 5 days.
If the rate is constant, all 209,625 names will be gone in 496 days.

if domains that are good are going at a rate of 500 every few days dont you think it will slow down for the zmqy.net domains?

I guess it could've been people who saw the 4L.net trend and just regged some names for the heck of it.

Those 423 were regged in 5 days not 1, so at that rate it would actually take almost 2500 days.

Keep in mind the last few days have slower that usual with <100 /day (maybe due to the holiday weekend) but ever since the premium buyout we have seen an average of about 200-300 gone per day.

That's bound to increase to at least 500-600 a day in 2-3 months as people see the supplies dwindling and want to get a piece of the action.
Expecting a complete LLLL.net buyout by the end of 2008 is by no means unrealistic if my predictions come true :)

The rate is still falling nicely :)

Plus don't forgot that we've seen higher than average numbers of refunded domains recently... it's a surprise that the available number hasn't increased by a small amount due to this :)

I would guess it's domain tasters checking for traffic domains. If so, we should see a pretty steady flow of regs and refunds like this ~ till they've checked all 210K remaining.

It's amazing that some random 4 letters do get traffic.

I have PTPG.net. 50-60 UV a month. I think they are looking for a theater in Oregon.

I have one that has gotten about 100 hits a day for 3 days. 0 linkbacks, have no idea where it's coming from. Hope it lasts long enough to at least pay for itself, lol.

Flippers like me get nervous during downtimes so I have focused my attention to other things. :)
