I got an email asking whether my CVCC.com is for sale. I responded by saying I might develop the domain and if he's interested I might sell it. I ask how much is he willing to pay for the domain. He responded with $100 offer. I know this is very small amount.

The domain is somewhat pronounceable and i'm thinking to counter. How much do you guys think I should counter?

Would be better if you mention the domain name and if you know the reason he buying this domain for.

what end price would you be satisfied with?

He wants to buy the domain for his new programming project and he might name it after that name. I know this is small amount to be negotiating but i'll take few hundreds here and there.

No amount of money is considered small, money is money. If you believe it's worth more, then counter, however be aware that the buyer can easily walkaway...

If it is a very pronouncable CVCC.com like PIRJ, TUNK or YELX then I would counter offer with something like $700-$1500. If is it a poorly pronouncable domain like VAVX MUTW, or XUTM then I would counter offer in the $300-$700 range.

Yeah that seems about right.

VURG thanks for the price range. That gives me a better idea of the pricing.

Agreed. This is the range I've paid for a good pronounceable CVCC.com for an upcoming project.

If you don't need the money right now, i suggest to hold on to the domain for a few more years. The value of good LLLL.com domains will multiply in this time.

Are you guys serious that a CVCC.com be sold between $300-700? Are these just end-users or domainers as well?

By looking at example given by VURG it should give you an idea that this is an end-user pricing

I've seen CVCC.com domains appraised at mid $XXX by multiple people in the appraisal section before. The domains weren't good traffic domains. A good quality sounding CVCC.com is getting harder and harder to find cheap.

My suggestion was for enduser pricing but also taking to consideration how easy it is to replace the domain with a similar CVCC.com. I spent 2 years trying to sell names for under $100 and I'm not in a rush to do it again as it is more profitable to wait for better sales. The hack work of selling is to costly.

Maybe putting YELX in the same category as TUNK is not the best. Maybe I should of said YELK instead.

If you have more names like YILX that you want to sell, PM me.

oh yes I do....but they are not for $3 :)

I sold that one because it was expiring in 24 hours and so I consider the price 3+7= $10

But honestly to me it was not pronunciable.....but this is where I fail....not being a native English speaker penalises me.

strange you don`t like the V.......afterall your username is Vurg :-/

I have VZOF.com ... is it pronounciable. Do you think it is worth?

I don't like V for acronyms.

VURG.com was what got me interested in 4 letter domains. I found it hard to believe that I got it for reg fee.

What's brandable and what's a good acronym is very different. (e.g. Z is a very popular letter for brandable terms and yet it is one of the worst acronym letters.)
