It's correct - they're bought out. I did my best to warn people and spent about 5 hours yesterday explaining why investing in .asia is pointless in the asia versus .tv thread...

I have no more energy to dedicate to such a waste of time. Newbies will be newbies and ICANN + Dot Asia are clearly aware of that and directly targetting them with these new extensions.

I don't understand why would anyone spend so much money registering ALL LLL.asia! sure, the very best of LLL.asia could be worth something if this extension wont fail totally, but ALL? this seems like some rich noob's work to me

I personally plan to boycott .asia reseller market I don't plan to buy any one LLL.asia I just registered 3 .asia names for the niches that I work in and will create sites there

I was offering local contact for .asia to who needed but I preregged ZERO , regged ZERO and don not plan to reg any.

The "asians" as indeed we should not call them, have been already grumpy to use .com /.net and /org for years due to the ASCII problem, and now we want even them to use this longer and expensive extension? :bah:

I believe most of the LLL.asia was considered government reserved by .asia.org???
I did regged about 30 during the landrush but now got a refund as it was labeled by Eurodns as government reserved!

Well if it does not fail...LLL.asia is very valuable because within those 150 countries, those 3 letter domain could very well be some Bigtime Company's Initial Trademark.

And yes, think if out of those 150 countries, 10 countries owns the same initials...not to mention within those 10 countries, on each country, maybe 5 or more companies that reside within the same country have the same Company Initials!!!

Am I confusing??? Its the multiplicity!!!

I don't want any. I just like maintaining the buyout thread. My domain collection keeps depleting at the moment. No plans on getting any more.
