hello , I was doing some highly targeted outbound emails for few of my domains using different templates.

One of the templates I used went by"My client owns the domain "abc.com" and is looking forward to sale it..."

I got a response from the ceo of a company asking who is my client?

What should I reply?

What's your whois info say for the name?

Your brokering and selling on behalf of your client....you can say it's private or just make a name up. Wouldn't worry about it too much as long as you don't get caught in a web of lies lol

If he's interested in the name, he'll jump into that. And not press you on your clients name. Granted, not always the case.

Ohhh you're one of those people that spam people asking them to buy your domain because it is similar to something the own already!

looking forward to sale
It's "sell" not sale!

Why don't you start off being honest with the people you are trying to sell to!

Yes, I get a few of these daily not impressed, as most of the time, they are not owned, and just fishing.

You posed the question, why are you asking others to answer it for you?

Lol if your company sells and manufactures leather shoes only and if someone legit emails you regarding the opportunity of buying "LeatherShoes.com" and keeping the email personalised - is spam ?

The first thing you should do is ask him if he's a cop, because if he's a cop he has to tell you. Then, once you've established that he's not a cop, you can talk business...maybe move a domain name or two. And don't worry. None of us will breathe a word of it. It's like they say. What happens at Namepros stays at Namepros...until googlebot comes along that is. Then the whole world finds out about it.
