In the even I'm not able to find an email of for example the CEOs of the company but I have his LinkedIn Profile.

Would it be a better option to send him an Inmail instead?

I've heard of people completing sales this way through Twitter before, so I couldn't see LinkedIn being any different. I don't know that I would get into all the specs through LinkedIn, but you could at least reach and get your message across. Include your email and/or phone number and maybe you can pick up the conversation through one of those methods after initial contact.

Once, I paid about $80 to reply to a message i received from the CEO of a tech company. He was responding to my message like monthssssss after my initial message.

Funny thing is I could have saved my $80 by just replying the Linkedin message straight from my email client which I had no idea was possible after i made the payment (of course lol).

To make things worse after a few exchanges, it didnt end up in a sale! I burned an $80 lead lol

And the domain spam continues on.
I get domain spam all the time from domainers who find my email at various sites and think, hey I will email this person because I have this domain he will buy from me.
Face it, people do not set up profiles in hopes of getting spam!

The advantage of LinkedIn is that you can reach a decision maker. An email will go to someone's inbox who may be far removed from a decision maker and who may merely view your message as spam. I believe LinkedIn charges for this service so I have not used it.

Just keep in mind your domain has to be of value to the business. If you are doing outbound marketing of domains that have little commercial value then you will be wasting your time. As well, your pricing needs to be realistic as they did not approach you so the desire or urgency to buy is not nearly as strong.

Wouldnโ€™t the LinkedIn account be banned?

i guess as long as you are premium member and have inmail credits you can send one but don't use it for spamming purposes.

You can also connect with that CEO directly :) If you have interesting profile, and he/she accepts, you are sending messages then free of charge, it is a normal conversation then between 2 people, no Inmails needed. It really helps if you have open, well structured and interesting profile there.

BUT...make sure you are not spamming people with domains they do not need..I really think twice before I send anything to anyone, and do it only in very limited amount of cases..If you send something not relevant, people will quickly un-accept you, so one needs to make sure that the proposal is relevant not only for him, but to receiving party as well..

Connection is not relationship, and relationship takes time to develop.
