As everybody of you I am a webmaster, and I am always looking for new ways to promote my sites and make them indexed faster by Google and other major search engine services. I think that there are many ways to accomplish this, and one of this is promoting your link by making other sites put a link to your homepage.

Search engine crawlers, once they see that your site is linked many times on different sites, it’s supposed to give a better importance to your pages and give them a better position in the rankings. Now, link building is a boring and time-wasting activity.

Anybody involved in search engine optimization know how long it takes everytime you submit your link to a web directory, or you try to contact a certain webmaster to obtain that link exchange with him. I always wondered if it was a program that could help me manage my link campaign, so to speed up and optimize my work.

Well, I have to say that I have tried many programs and that most of them are not effective. Automatic submissions are simply not working, because nowadays every script is able to recognise and avoid that kind of bots. So, the real key was to find a good software able to manage link exchange quickly and efficiently.

Most of the programs out there are expensive, and I had not the budget to afford a $500 software, or something like this. The other day I found out on google about LinkAssistant, and gave it a try. Their website URL is www.link-assistant.com and until now as far as I know there is a trial version of their software that anyone can try for free.

I have done that, and I must say that I have been very impressed of what this software can do. First of all, it can manage link pages in minutes, and you can program your template like a simple programming script, and the program will automatically generate pages containing those links (so you won’t need to manually create multiple pages anymore).

Moreover, it can search on google for potential link partners, catch their email address and send them emails asking them for a link exchange. You can customize your email template, in order not to make the email look like spam.

I think that you will need some expertise and make some tries before mastering this kind of link promotion, but I learned and now I’m really satisfied with the results: I can find at least 5 new link partners everyday, without sending too many emails.

You can manage your link partners, check if your link is still on their site, so to automatically update your link pages. If you know something about SEO then you know how much valuable is it, and I think that it’s worth a try.

I bought it, less than $100, and I don’t regret this purchase. It really saves my time and gives me good results. Just wanted to share, so to give a tribute to who programmed Link-Assistant for making a good work!

Excellent and thorough review! Just out of curiosity, what website did you use this Link Assistant on? I would like to see the effectiveness of this software prior to dishing out a hundred dollars. :|

Your review is great, but I have to comment on the sending email strategy.

Gosh, it is so outdated. I can send you to many forums where people whine about their problem - very low conversions. It's not a secret that statisitcally only around 10% of the emails with link exchange offers are opened - the rest to the trash bin.

Shift the focus, it is easy to find relevant partners whom you do not need sending *begging* email. I know the strategy how to find the sites that are already waiting to exchange links with you, and these are sites with nice PR (otherwise on link exchange I would not get for my brand new site PR 4 within 1 month).

HINT: How can you say a site is waiting to exchange links with you? Look for the sites that made everything possible to save you time on link building :hehe:

Very useful feature. And don't forget that is you add to this RSS feeds than search engines will automatically learn about each new link added - imagine the linking power that you get.

You can manage your link partners, check if your link is still on their site, so to automatically update your link pages. If you know something about SEO then you know how much valuable is it, and I think that it’s worth a try.

Also a useful feature. Plus if you automate it with deleting or disabling or leaving the link by default - that can save you tons of time. And now it's great to perform the checking of NO FOLLOW on the site of your link partner in the link attributes.

NOTE: By the way, also wanted to comment on Google search for potential sites-partners. The problem is that usually search is done via simple submitting of your keyword to Google search field (tool does that automatically) and giving the list of site. Let's be frank - now it is not enough to give really relevant sites-partners. I was testing this and must say that it's a big pain before you come up with real search algorithm that checks also title, meta, onpage optimization - but then you can talk about real relevancy.

freetraf, I don't want to abuse you, but I think that you have never seen LinkAssistant before... am I right?

If you're not a lazybones and not an idiot ;), you'll spend 10 minutes updating your mail template - and LinlAssistant offers a lot of service variables (about 60 if I'm not mistaken) allowing you to crate absolutely personalized emails. From my own experience I can say the percentage of replies is MUCH higher than 10%

No problem... LinkAssistant offers you a possibility to find sites with link submission forms and fill in these forms automatically in a single click

Again, LinkAssistant DOES check for rel='nofollow'

Moreover, it checks for 'disallow' section in robots.txt, 'noindex/nofollow' meta-tags, links using java-script, and for many other SEO tricks :hehe:

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about here, but... once again - with LinkAssistant you can easily find title, meta, PageRank, link popularity, Alexa rank, etc...

So, freetraf - have you at least seen LinkAssistant before discussing it?

Seen it, but if you noted, I said nothing bad about Link Assistant or it having/not having a certain feature. I highlighted what was also important and could give extra help. As far as I see - this is more supportive to the review because adds more to it.

Still, I cannot agree that even super customized email templates will solve the problem of low response and link exchange conversions. It was not me who came up with 10% response. The problem is not the template customization level, but the approach and this approach is hated. That is why alternative methods are much better - and if you tried, perhaps you experienced that. And no doubt the conversions are much bigger than any customized email strategy. Just because it's like this.

So, see no point for being fluffy.

freetraff, I don't mind you saying anythig bad/good about LinkAssistant - it's you personal opinion and you can say whatever you want to say :)

All right, I do recognize I was a bit harsh, sorry for that, OK?

BTW, what is the "magic" approach with great conversion you're talking about?

R_U_RED_E, no problems and no offense. Out of sharing the opinions people can find the best.

BTW, what is the "magic" approach with great conversion you're talking about?

Very simple. Nothing beyond the horizon, but works like candy. I disclose the strategy in free educational course - in the section "Old and new ways of link exchanging."
