Soooo, apparently leading a life of debauchery, sex drugs and rock n roll isnt as healthy as originally advertised.

I had a brain infarction and had to have my cartoid reamed out last week... all is well.

Not near as much fun as the colonoscopy I had done last year (polyps removed)...

As the saying goes, getting old is a bitch, but it beats the alternative.

Eat healthy kids, your life may depend on it.

I'm glad the procedure to clean out your carotid artery went well.

Colonoscopies are no fun. I had to get one in 2009 before going overseas, and I woke up in the middle of it. So I watched it on the screen.

The U.S. gov wants to make sure their grantees are healthy enough to endure a year in a foreign country.

Hmm I promise myself every now and then to lead a healthy life.

Infact I even promise myself that I will go for a walk tomorrow morning but then I never do it.

Reading this thread I am again promising myself that I will start taking care of myself But deep inside I know I will again fail to do so

j/k Thanks to all the well wishers.

It really was a wake up call.
I had a stroke (brain infarction) and didnt know it, except that I was having memory issues and none of the docs could say why....
except that hey man, you're 60, you abused your body pretty much on a regular/daily basis for 35+ years, what do you expect?

Oh, ok... I guess thats it.

But then my Thoracic & Vascular doc heard about the stroke, ran a boatload of more tests and told me we need to do this NOW before anything else breaks off and I really do stroke out.

So this guy prolly saved my life, and I fully intend to live it.

No holloween candy for this kid.
