There have been many discussions on this topic.

For those of us who do this day in and day out, what is your opinion.

Personally I do not use Gmail or any other free email because I believe it does not look professional.

I would love to use a service like Streak which would be great for organizing and tracking, but I don't know if it would have an effect on sales because it might be perceived as unprofessional or even spammy.

For those of you who do this on a regular basis, what do you use and what is your opinion.

I would like to switch to a Gmail based option for the tracking, but I have been holding back.

What do you think?

Streak works with my domain based email address.
I set up my email through Google apps for work ($5/month)

I think free email looks unprofessional (and even suspicious) when you offer names for sale.

Plus it's kind of - "do as I say not as I do" - you try to convince them of the benefits of owning a domain when you yourself don't use one?

For a email provider I use tuffmail.com ($2.4 per month, no problems for the last 10 years) and fastmail.com as a backup.
