And now the "news" bot account will push this thread down into oblivion, as it does to all substantive discussions in this forum.
:xf.frown:

We just need more to comment to get that bot to give this substantive discussion the attention it deserves!๐Ÿ‹๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธโš–๏ธ

It is unfortunate that this is true.
The reason why something like 90% of UDRPs result in transfers is because they should.

It doesn't matter.

This forum is a dumping ground for automated junk posts that get 0 replies, but enough marginal views to make it worthwhile.

It makes it useless as a resource for anyone looking for information, but the site operators don't care.

Regardless of how useful a discussion might be, the "news" bot will simply hide it in a mass of spam posts that are simply feeds and links to news blogs.

It kind of makes it pointless to try to provide useful information, and may be one of the reasons why the same questions - in one form or another - keep getting asked over and over. I mean, you could tell people "go check out posts in the legal discussion forum" but it's mostly automatically generated shit here.

@jberryhill , if there is a time you would like a specific contribution highlighted, never hesitate to reach out. I know it does not achieve all of what you seek about posts with substance getting a higher profile, but by mentioning something even in a cursory way in a NP Blog post, or on my X feed, I try to give the most valuable posts a bit of exposure. Or if seeking even more, always looking for ideas for NP Blog articles.

@Bravo Mod Team

I've always wondered why NamePros' built-in search doesn't perform as well as a targeted Google search (e.g., site:namepros.com [your keywords]). I often find myself needing to use Google just to locate the content Iโ€™m after. Is there a limitation of an integrated search?

Unfortunately, replies don't get the attention that original posts do. Meaning, no matter how many likes a reply gets, it doesn't influence the original thread post topic to appear in any of the popular thread widgets.

The only way to get more exposure for a great topic, is to like the original post.

I switched the like/thanks feature to Manual for this threads first post by clicking the sparkles button and then bumped the points as high as it would let me on the first post. If others did that, it might start showing in some of the widgets as a popular thread.

There's definitely some great information in this thread worth more eyeballs. :)

Update: It worked. I can see this thread on the home page in 2 of the widgets right now ;)

Those threads by the @News account were all created by a human (proof), not automated or a bot, but your point has been duly noted.

We'll move those threads to our News section and have them posted there moving forward.

Thanks for helping us improve.

Because they have about $2 trillion dollars more than us, and search is a very complex technical problem, hence their moat and dominance in the search space. ๐Ÿ˜

Unfortunately, Google search isn't accessible to everyone in the world.

That said, Google search isn't accessible to everyone in the world.
Over 25 years and $2 trillion later, the evil G is still a steaming stinking pile of mostly **** and junk for searches, as well as causing numerous issues for users.
Many people already know this, but it seems the amount of money made by a business bears no relation to the quality of product or service provided. Like all businesses, once they get lots of money and get fat & complacent, they lose their edge and desire to do more/improve.
The evil G have become what they despised and told everyone not to be (actually considerably worse), as has Apple and many others. I think this is called Enshittification? But unless they have some proper competition and users keep giving them money, they won't be changing anything, anytime soon. Their spark is long gone.

We just moved all threads with 0 replies by @News out of the Legal Discussion section.

Currently, we've kept the threads with 1+ replies there because some of them have valuable contributions by other members, including you, such as in this thread: Lambo.com: Following UDRP loss, Respondent files lawsuit against Lamborghini.

However, if you think it'd be best to also move out those threads by @News that have replies, let us know, and we'll do that. Currently, those threads represent about 3% of all threads in the Legal Discussion section.

In either case, no additional threads by @News will be posted in Legal Discussion moving forward.

We appreciate the opportunity to improve.

Thanks for improving @Bravo Mod Team!

To be fair and balanced, it should be acknowledged that the @News account has also reported lots of John's victories.

Has this man ever known the bitter sting of legal defeat?

John, we do love you.

Oh, absolutely. Nobody wins them all. Emergency room doctors get patients in all kinds of conditions. Some of them are easier to treat than others, and some don't make it.

I turn down a lot of cases that I don't believe have a good chance of winning, so there's that.
