It gives me great pleasure and excitement to announce the official launch of LanceJam Freelance Marketplace.
LanceJam offers freelancers a platform on which to offer their coding, design and development skills in pioneering new 'service auctions'. Additionally we offer more traditional 'product auctions' for the listing and trading of websites, designs and domains, amongst other things. The name LanceJam effectively means 'freelance auction'. 'Lance' is an abbreviation for Freelance while 'Jam', according to Thesaurus.com is a slang term for auction. Overall it contributes to a nice brandable name from our view, what do you think?
To mark this launch, we are offering all new users a limited edition package in which each member will receive a 60 day trial account in which to try all of LanceJam's services without having to pay one penny, in commission or upfront fees. Be sure to register your Launch Account soon as there are a limited number available and they will only be available for a short while.
Once these trial accounts have run out, two packages will be offered: a commission based package, which is free to sign-up to and has no upfront fees for listings, we just take a small cut of the final auction price. Alternatively, a commission-free package is offered, in which listing items and services for auction costs $0.10 but no commission is taken from the final sale. This package will have a small (undecided amount) monthly charge.
