Thanks Domi, Bricio, and Domainer50 -- you've hardened my resolve against selling it too soon. The money would be nice (yes, it is mine), but I think I can wait.

Funny thing is that I actually had the potential buyer up to $1200 in the negotiations (so I'm thinking end-user), but when I tried to bring them up to $1500, there was silence for a while. Finally, the guy countered with $500 (pre-fees), saying that his partner had decided $1200 was out of line after all.

Ah well. I think it's a good enough abbreviation ("environment," "envelope," even "envy") that it's worth holding on to...but I was almost swayed. I figured I had enough other L-L-Ls to make up for it later. But now I think I'll wait it out...

L-L-L.com was the best investment comparing to LLLL.com, N-N-N.com and anything else that had a buyout and it will be the one where their owners will have the highest profits and besides L-L-L.com will be the niche, in some years to come, that will have its value closest to their similar ones (i mean LLL.com)

so, can you imagine in 3-5 years you sell your L-L-L.com for 20-30% of the value of a LLL.com?
i posted this before and i really think it is going to happen... and we have other people and threads that give us data to see that this will happen
for instance the spread of the internet (now 18% of the people worldwide use it) with more sites, more people and more end-users (not huge companies but small business than wont have the money to pay for a LLL.com -> in 5 years how much will they be, a crappy and a premium one?) at least $xx,xxxx

they are really rare... and are probably the best for acronyms

it depends hugegrowth... and you saw the prices

K-I-D.com was $995, T-E-A.com was $480, F-E-W.com was $216
and the most expensive isnt a word... it was M-P-T.com for $5,000
i write what i think above this and now there isnt a pattern for words but we are watching the auctions at snapnames and the premuims were sold for $130-$140 (one month ago) and now they are going for $180-$200 (it means a great incerease -> about 40%)
if you have a word hold it, if you want to buy thats the average price
BTW, there are two being sold at DNF for a very good price (2 premium for $270)... the link is in this thread or in the other thread about L-L-L.com

L-L-L terms or words will get the most at minute, but ironically it is the random business acronyms that will get you the big paydays from endusers imho

Of course the premium letter combos and words are getting snapped first on aftermarket, but it is the badd letter combos you will get little for now that may be low to mid xxxx in a year or two to endusers.
We all need to flip the odd one though.
:imho: the prices are going up weekly and will for some time, as someone mentioned the other day there is a longtime coming correction happening to these domains due to domainers undervaluing them, in the past.
Very similar to the way, L-L.com were valued at 'regfee' on forums just 4/5 years ago lol.
Recent enduser sales, the complete buyout and increasing awareness on how many of these puppies are developed is educating the domaining members.
It will take a little time until reselling prices are where they should be.

There appears an urgency on for people to accumalate these, i am seeing a lot of buying on aftermarket and wanted threads for L-L-L

I agree Arnie it is the Acronyms over the words. The words are good if you are going to develop since Google ignores the - SO T-E-A.com great for development IMO but business acronym will have the end users IMO. I do not believe an end user of a product would want hyphens they would pay up for the non hyphenated version IMO.

Now GCC.com is owned and developed by a big company

G-C-C.com is for sale. They would be mad not to buy this imo too
Unfortunately for np portfolio holders, its owned by BuyDomains
