thanks again dagersh :)

no problem in telling the price... it was $480
Thanks...glad to know, because now I don't feel so bad. I probably wouldn't have been in the auction at that point. But definitely a good buy for you still -- it'll be worth a good deal more than that in a few years. :$:

i really think it already worth more than i paid, i wont sell this name though :tu:

as i began domainig because of .mobi and it was my first focus i can easily say T-E-A.com is my best name as after .mobi i went for LLLL.com (of course no words, some good ones though) and after that i went for L-L-L.com

Interesting statistical information. I didn't want to bring it up earlier but rather wait until I have several months of data to bring to the show...

Relating to the value of L-L-L.com domains in the marketplace as a whole and the debate on whether or not the "-" hurts or inhibits the use of these domains via direct navigation or searched traffic.

I have SIX months of data on the test group and 3 months of data on a completely separate set of newer domains in another test group... one at Parked and the other at NameDrive and the results are very interesting.

Of BOTH groups, the traffic analysis is consistent...

42% direct navigation
44% Google Search Traffic
14% alternative search traffic (MSN, YAHOO, etc)

While the percentage points are +- a point or two for both groups, the results are surprisingly similar. about half the traffic is Direct Navigation while the other half is Search traffic.

That's GREAT! We've speculated that the fact that Google (and others) don't recognize the dashes is a benefit and works to drive traffic and we've speculated that end users won't hesitate to use dashes.

In both cases, it's absolutely true!

What was VERY surprising is that we also speculated that the bulk of our direct navigation traffic would come from OUTSIDE the United States/Canada where browsers are more accustomed to using dashes... but...

Nearly 60% of the traffic came from the US alone. China being the 2nd highest with just under 30% and Italy 3rd with roughly 11% of the total traffic. Italy? The remainder is made up of Eur-asian countries with Germany falling into that >1% margin.

Which is totally OFF our predictions.

So, what does this all mean?

Well, I think it means that end users should DEFINITELY look to these domains as an alternative to high priced, cyber-squatter laden LLL.com domains because the Direct and Search traffic patterns are nearly IDENTICAL to the lower priced counterparts.

Within reason... there are some yahoos on this and other forums that are asking the same prices for these L-L-L.coms as LLL.coms (have you looked at TDNAM or BuyDomains lately?).

If we want to keep the ball rolling and get these domains into the hands of end users, we need to put a halt to the obvious price gouging for these domains and keep them attainable for the end users. Otherwise, they will end up being categorized as "ridiculous" and turn the buyers away... and then where's our value?

There is a delicate balance between a good return and price gouging. Let's keep that in mind. IF we do, we can all make some good money on a healthy and liquid market.

The stats show that the market is prime and using these domains. Let's get them out there!

Premium L-L-L.coms starting with 'E' are rare imho
Think a lot are developed. I don't own a single 'E' premium :'(

Bluebecker, have you done a L-L-L.org/net scan recently?

Just i checked ransom 6 on sedo just now, premiums, all starting with H, and the nets were gone and half of them the .eu, .org's etc too!!!!
ive started a new scan for the L-L-L.org takes a while.
