What, if any, are the general values of a L-L-L dot com domains?

showing 5903 on my short test scan.

I said before i believe 'w' a premium letter for a host of reasons.

Also, normally i would say 'z' is a hideous letter.

However some combinations can be like Gold.
Especially for the German market, which outside the U.S market is probably the most internet savvy, with the most hideous domains lol
They think nothing of 3 word hyphenated .de's

I went through the list & found 10 'z' L-L-L .coms with Big enduser appeal imo

'z' appears so much in their language & all these performed well with potential endusers in mind..

Yes heres a few L-L-L.com's generating revenue for there owners:

v-o-l.com, h-m-o.com, h-u-d.com

Whats are the results compared from LLL.com to L-L-L.com at google

Results 531,000,000 for "fun"
Results 953,000 for "f-un".
Results 431,000 for "fu-n".
Results 531,000,000 for "f-u-n"

so L-L-L.com has the same results as LLL.com but LLL.com gets type
in traffic and L-L-L.com are good for search engine optimization (seo).

is a L-L-L.com is Easy To Remember ?

Yes If you forget the site address just think two separating hyphens with letters.
What about LL-L.com or L-LL.com ? you will forget where the hypen is meant to be,
so its best stick to L-L-L.coms.

My comments for L-L-L.com

i know domainers dont like hyphens let alone two but think of me as the public
domainer who likes to domain but likes to surf the internet play computer games.
what domainers dont see is that the pubilc dont care about hyphens what you
give them they will use. if i branded a L-L-L.com do you think the pubilc would
not use it if i had a service they wanted to use ?

L-L-L.com is cheap and alternative option to LLL.com, Say the LLL.com has already
been used for a company but you want that combo for your company so a L-L-L.com
would be the next step. LLL.net some how .net is not as good looking as dot com lol
When there is no more L-L-L.coms available for reg fee the value for L-L-L.coms will increase.

Additional Comments

Most L-L-L combos are reg fee for domain resellers unless there pronouncable,
dictionary or well known. If a end user contacts you and you have L-L-L.com of
any sort then i would say anythink from $500 - $1500 - $2500 would be the best
price to sell.

People asking for L-L-L.coms appraisals and trying to sell there L-L-L.com to soon
is a no-no. Hold on to them for a year or two in mean time park them or develop.
With the increase of high sales for LLL.coms which is increasing LLL.coms value the
better chance L-L-L.coms will get for there turn as a cheaper alternative. if that
happens you will start seeing search engines more hyphen friendly which will increase
traffic etc. It is a waiting game its like fine wine the longer you wait the better it has
to mature.

The only thing I can see for sure is that regarding search traffic, engines like google
simply do not SEE the dashes... so "a-b-c" is the same as "a b c" and "abc".
As for type-in traffic, I can't say for sure but other countries use dashes MUCH more
casually than in the US, so there is natural traffic there. Add to that the fact that
EVERY LLL is taken with many, if not most, of them simply parked pages, surfers are
looking for "other" content.

Finally, as regular two and three word domains with any real value or use is becomming
harder to buy and develope, I think companies that NEED domains are becoming more
creative in their buying... in other words, rather than a two word that is a stretch to
understand or brand, they are opting for hyphenated domains for more brand specific usage.
It's what they HAVE to do to get a domain that isn't being squated on.
In doing so, they are bringing hyphenated direct navigation more to the forefront of the
business therefore "training" the marketplace (ie: the surfer) to accept and use hyphens
more frequently.

Since LLL owners rely on direct navigation from curious surfers for 100% of their type-in traffic,
why is it so hard to believe that with these changes and habits forming in the user base, that
direct type-ins with hyphens can't happen?

It obviously IS happening. Many of us are experiencing the natural traffic and revenues.
Continued success to those of us that could see the potential of these L-L-L dot coms.

Time for a great many domainers to wake up and come to the realization that the internet
is not just for the english speakers.

Here is a little test:

Go to Google.com.

Type in the letter Q for your search. One billion fifty million returns (1,050,000,000). Now that
is supposedly ALL global regions returns for one search.

Now go to Google.cn.

Type in letter Q.
One Billion, 300 million results (1,300,000,000)

Z=1,910,000,000
Y=2,860,000,000
X=2,750,000,000
U=2,070,000,000

So guess where the most likely market for these "vile, useless" letters will be? If those letters
are appearing that often on Chinese websites, then that is a pretty good indication that many
of the "experts" are just plain wrong.

In the Anglicized Chinese spelling of towns, villages, history, culture, folklore, mythology,
peoples names, Q, X, Y, Z are very very common.

This is just food for thought and not all things appeal to all people. But it is also a damn shame
to listen to or read advice from people who claim that something is not good because it is available
therefore no one wants it.

The results of my study. That in a sample of 1040 domains (520 LLL.biz and 520 L-L-L.com),
there were more developed L-L-L.com (~25%) than LLL.biz(~15%) despite the fact that
LLL.biz with poor letters sell for more than 10X reg fee.

One thing that I have realised is that the "premium" letters are premium within the English language. A non premium letter in the English language can be a premium letter in another language such as Chinese. This means there are still plenty of opportunities currently in the Available list.

Imagine for example all those Chinese Companies exporting goods that would like a .COM for their web site !
