Why oh why are you guys buying this junk.... people definatly do not type in two dashes let alone one rarely. Companies, if they are serious, are not going to invest anything less than a site thats easy to remember and easy to type in. L-L-L.com is not and therefore the value of these will always be low. I don't think any of these will sell for over 10 dollars except for a rare one or two and letters that go together, such as w-t-f.com.

bull
i sold www.f-h-e.com
look where it redirects
well worth it to them
germans love l-l-l.de & coms
loads are developed
people were saying what you're saying 3 years ago about L-L.com & even LLL.com
these will pay off en masse in 2-3 years. the best ones. mark my words dude

I bet all your type ins are domainers btw...no laymen searching the web sits down and says oh I bet theres something cool at l-z-i.com.... honestly.
Some people go .com 1st, then .net.

Others go .com 1st, then hyphenated .com

What's considered professional is based on cultural bias. You have to remember that there are billions of people within this world who all operate differently. My experience with hyphenated acronym .com domains is that the interest I have seen includes Arabic, Chinese and German origins.

I have also seen hyphens very popular in MLM circles.

Because this "junk" is earning me a nice return on Investment. Many of my L-L-L dot coms have retunred 400% or more already. I have several domains that all bring multiples of Reg Fee every WEEK. Three that are averaging between $3 - $5 per day, averaging over 500 uniques per month.

I don't know if you are speaking for yourself or not... but my understanding is that Domainers don't hang out clicking other Domainers Parked Ads. In fact, it's usually quite the oposite. A Domainer will go out of his way NOT to click a parked page ad.

So where's the logic to your assumption that these are "junk"?

If it is your "opinion", then that's fine... I don't need to understand WHY they are getting traffic and clicks, just that they do. I also understand that anything short and brandable is in the tens of thousands of dollars at this point... and the marketplace is only getting bigger with more users and greater need.

And the truth is, when you are talking about an end-user... of they say their website is such-and-such dot com, their patrons will go there because it's printed on everything they own, voice in everything they say and sent on everything they send.

DOMAINERS may not type in dashes... but End Users do. And that's why these little gems will increase in value and usage.

It's okay that you don't agree. Just don't call our domains JUNK when they are clearly paying their keep.

Its always nice to stir up some controversy.... I love what people are doing with online domaining and I love that you guys are getting good returns on your investments... I guess GoPC is right in that it is my opinion that only hte premium L-L-L.com's will be worth anything EVER. I think everything else is garbage in the L-L-L.com category.

Hold no grudges here and please... continue prospering in the way you find most profitable. Good luck with your L-L-L.com sales everyone!!!

I got a $150 offer for D-B-F.com only 5 days after I regged it. It was from an end user too (unless he was lying). Every single L-L-L.com name I registered gets traffic and most of them get clicks. I'm not going to let a great opportunity pass me by when I only have to invest $100 or so to get in. As a senior member here, I'm surprised you would be so openly negative about it, especially when domainers are apparently making PPC money and selling names for good profit. :td:

I'm getting the traffic, but not so much the clicks...do you have yours parked at Parked.com? That's where mine are. Obviously, the specific L-L-L combo will have a lot to do with it, but I'm always on the lookout for the best place to park these. GoPC seems to be having a lot of luck with Parked, which is why I moved all my L-L-L.coms there...

Briman... I'm a "Senior Member" because I have over 1k posts... doesn't really mean I have to agree with you.

But just so you know I did write this responses stating my true aims from the post:

Just picked up F-W-D.com (the universal acronym, most often used WITH hyphens, for Front Wheel Drive) and E-M-L.com which is often used for "Email"

Hoping for some winners here!

And for what it's worth Paramount, I have always valued and respected your opinions... so absolutely no hard feelings. :)

Also, it's just plain fun to be part of a NEW movement in domains for a change (rather than be on the shirt tails of something else).

Finally, thank you for whomever posted over at DNF giving me credit for starting this crazy trend. I just hope that it is positive and not "that blankety blank GoPC that started the L-L-L craze!" LOL!!! ;)

Best,

GoPC

Excellent points buy and swap and I certainly believe three quality letters better than a crappy 4 llll.com with 3 or 4 bad letters that have no use to anybody.

A L-L-L.com shows better results at google than a L-LL.com, L-L-L.com gets traffic and is easy to remember over a L-LL.com.

Example One: was it LL-L.com or L-LL.com which one was it geez i have to type both in to check them.

Example Two: go to L-L-L.com if you forget just think two separating hyphens.
