L.im's - Is there a "market" or is it case-by-case value?

Hi guys. I'm new to the forum and am looking to offload lots of LLLL.com's and LLLL.com's in the future so I'm studying everything you're all saying! But that's another story :P

What I'm currently interested in is whether or not there's a "market" for our L.im (I'll not mention what it is here as I don't want to upset the mods!). Are people searching for these at auctions or on these sites, or is it one of those things where if someone specifically wants it they'll materialise on their own?

Obviously *we* think it's of value, but then we're a startup and more interested than branding than SEO.

Thanks!
Jof

According to nic.im there is a premium price for 1-character .im domains of £995 = 1154 EUR = 1541 USD. The price of ~ 500 GBP for 2-char is quite to much. With us you can get much cheaper 2-char from 79 USD. But still I think for a technology company needing a short as possible URL even 1600 USD/year would be a good price. For investment I think its too much.

If you ask what 1-character domains might be useful for - just look at the website - there are some examples why they are important for some applications.
