Whats your thoughts on keyword + number domain names?

like keyword1 DOT com or 1keyword DOT com.
I have a few keyword1 coms but I am yet to develope them.. How much would the number devalue a domain name do you think?

Say you have a really good keyword eg business or even sex.

have you sold or had success with these domains developed or undeveloped?

Just queries :)

to be avoided, but you will see sales at dnjournal that have numbers in the title
normally the numbers 2 or 4 ?????

I have also seen 1's

Personally I would avoid these domains as it can be hit & miss. You really need to know what you are doing & there are far less end users for these sort of domains IMHO

I think the market will be much more accepting in light of the growing costs
and lack of availability in premium keyword domains. With a finite resource
the demand will continue to grow as supply drops. You will, most likely, be
looking for an end user.

I hold a few names with #1 suffix. Even a few premium LLL1.coms. I'm thinking
hold for a couple more years. They will emerge as a viable alternative to
much pricier keyword domains.

The #1 suggests the leader, the best, the tops, the first etc .... A industry
leader. The keyword is paramount to the coupling and should be considered
as much as the number. I find the #s 1,2 and 4 are most popular. 411, 101,
911 are other popular combos added to names. The 2 and 4 are used as
substitutes for words. This is how the conflict evolves. If you do not own
the alpha name to match the numeric version you can cause confusion with
your users. And loose traffic share to the other name. I find the #s 1, 101,
411 and 911 most efective. (imho)

USA1
Realty1
Auto1

All good examples .....

Mesothelioma1
Concrete1
taxes1

All bad examples or uses. (imho)

In today's current market these names will fall lower on the bargain list.
sellers are pricing good keyword domains down to the economy so this
market might be a little tight to roll out the combo (alpha-numeric) names.

Good luck

247keyword and keyword24 I have seen often besides 1,2,6 etc.
I donยดยดt like it and would not buy such urls because the chance is high the next buys the same just with an other number.
