K, so I'm in Salt Lake City - on New Year's Eve - And it's Pouring Rain

Our hotel is RIGHT next to the Temple Square RIGHT in the middle of DOWNTOWN Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

It's near years eve, about 8:55 PM right now, so I don't expect much sleep tonight.

Music is blaring, subwoofers going, and the tram on the hotel's street is ding-a-lingaling. Oh, here comes a second tram :p. ... plus police sirens, people yelling, fire engine horns, celebration horns...

Not only that, but it's 35 degrees (F) out and we have 40 mile per hour gusts of wind here, I feel sorry for the people out in this weather - and the horse carriage rides, the horses and their drivers.

The US Flag across the street in which the pole is horizontal, parallel to the ground, is blowing straight up because of the wind.

Just watched the fireworks! They were less than a block away from our hotel room - quite the display!

Now it's so noisy outside... I won't be able to get to sleep for a while :P
