domain Just regged a new . com what do you think?

The words instantly view are thrown around a lot. "Instantly View" on google returns 4M plus results. You hear the term on commercials and read it all over the net. Example, netflix says you can "instantly view" movies on their site now. Everyone wants to instantly view now instead of download. I thought it would go well with a streaming site. I was rather suprised that this was available, its 2 commonly used words and I think a site called instantlyview . com is very brandable. I can see it now, "Dude just go to intantlyview . com and watch the new trailer."

I think the "ly" kind of kills it. If it were InstantView, maybe.

As you say, there are 4-5 million Google hits, but I doubt that many people are searching those exact terms. Sorry.

Thanks for your opinion rep added. But I do disagree with you a bit. First of all your right it does not get a lot of search, but the term is used a lot. Instant view really is not used much, it doesnt even sound good. But the term instantly view is a common term and is used a lot to describe video sites. Most major networks now have commercials that say you can go online and XXX. com and instantly view full episodes online. I heard it on a netflix commercial and thought I would try it, and to my surprise there it was.

I know the search volume for the term is very important but it just sounds good.

Any other opinions?

On first glance of this domain I absolutly hated it. I tried to vocalize why I didn't like it... and I really couldn't find any reasons other than its a bit awkward at first. The LY does kill it a bit IMO though. Now that I have replayed the domain in my mind a few times its not so bad. In the phrase "instantly veiw" it makes since. View is a verb. In the phrase "instant view" view is a noun. Nouns tend to make much more money... example... sloth.com instead of slothfullly.com - bad example.. but can't think of any right now.

Id say mid $xx for this domain. Good luck!

For development, I'm not high on this domain because there is no discriptor. If I walk up to you on the street and say "Come in here to instantly view!" you'd respond "Instantly view what?"

Another issue is that viewing things online instantly is nothing special. If this were an internet where you had to wait to view, then instant viewing would be quite the attraction.

You need to first come up with something that web surfers generally must wait to view, and then offer that right away.... but I'm not sure what that is.

Thank you all, Rep added. Your opinions are of much value to me! Dub- I see what your saying, but it could be for instantly viewing videos. I dont know about you, but I have wanted to watch a hard to get video before and had to download it first. I hate when I have to download oppose to viewing. And some sites out there are not offering streaming, its still just downloadable content.

As posted I agree the LY doesn't help and there is some confusion about what sort of instant viewing would be provided here.
It could be given meaning with more info in the URL if developed, eg:
instantlyview.com/pornos.htm
instantlyview.com/holidayphotos.htm

My choice as a developer would be the following available domain that solves those problems:
instantview.tv

Of course it takes some cajones to go for a .tv over a .com but think of brandability and marketing.

Ya I agree with that. Hopefully someone will see some potential in it. But ya that was my thinking when I bought it, its very broad. It leaves lots of options open you can be specific on what you want to instantly view with the sub domains.
