Just domains forever

There are lots of domain names registered and stayed undeveloped forever. It is like having a nice car and never use it as a car. Today I searched for some common terms. One of them attracted my eye was "wellknown". All gTLDs registered, all by different registrants and parked at dofferent parking services. The only domain with a real website is wellknown.de - not generic but popular extention (btw, wellknown.co.uk is available). All these gTLD "wellknown" names are comdemned to remain just domains. They will never host a website.

Its like foolish for some people. if they have got those great names , i think they should be developed . just keeping them without any use does not mean any thing. This is a negative aspect of domain names.

I agree. Some time ago I used to dzen-search with type-in technique. But after a few dozen tries and getting to a single all the same parking page I stopped to use type-in at all (but those few things I used to use everyday for many years, like google)

As for me, i have no time to develop the sites on many of my domains. So, what to do ?

Then why to register domains which you dont need and will never use? Just to wait for a wealthy man with a bunch of money who likes your domain and wishes to buy it for big $$$$$$$$$$$?

Well, there are some great domain names just parked at sedo! For example:

1- http://www.earth.com/
2- http://www.blue.com/
3- http://www.wifi.com/

Then why to register domains which you dont need and will never use? Just to wait for a wealthy man with a bunch of money who likes your domain and wishes to buy it for big $$$$$$$$$$$?

I think that because renewal fees for a domain are so low a lot of people will just keep hold of domains on the off chance that someone will come along and buy it sometime in the future, it's a form of gambling .

I don't have a problem with people that just buy up domains and do nothing with them, after all that means there are less domains out there that are going to be in competition with the ones I develop
