I just bought the domain name UBER.com at Afternic.com for $200 buy now price and my credit card was charged.

The seller approved the sale almost instantly and the status changed to Escrow/Transfer.

What do you think happens now?

That's what happens after someone buys the domain at afternic, the page shows an error. Was the case for me with uber.com right after I bought it.

I found out a 4 L I have is for sale on Afternic for $200. I let another company contact themto remove.

Why take a risk when you know the result? I have trouble understanding OPs reasons.

It wasn't just Uber.com, there were a bunch more like Texaco.com and other very recognizable domains all listed on 5/4. When I saw them, I called Afternic, but it was after hours and left a message saying someone had posted these and I was sure they didn't own them. They were all listed for BIN of $200. I just wanted to alert them because I thought they would actually care about the integrity of their marketplace. I can't believe they're still up. Maybe they thought I was the one who was pranking? Or maybe they didn't listen to the message. Is there something we're supposed to do/contact when we come across something like this?

Who knows, half the time you call Afternic you get transferred to a Godaddy call center and an operator that knows nothing about Afternic.

hey, you won the lottery! ? -- so this means with your 200$ you'll be able to resell it to uber for 35,000,000$USD -- +/- 20m ----- buy a lawyer, a domain consultant, a trademark criminal attorney and pray that money began to grow on trees.

if I saw an auction for Uber 200$USD -- it would read Uber waste of time and hold of my 200$ for a uber long time. don't uber think of it!

That reminds me. A few years ago I bought Banana.com for $2,000 USD if I remember correctly. Turned out to be a mistake as well and my credit card wasn't charged
