You will probably find the seller is an NP member well known for such sales of names that aren't what they look like. :alien2:

Really want to see how this turns out.. Idn or mistake. Obviously zero chance you got one of the biggest four letter domains in the world so I wonder why you wasted such time and effort.
Not a waste of time. Makes for a good thread, and we see this is not the only member this has happened to.
See below.

Hello, Thank you for your purchase of this domain. Unfortunately, the seller has just confirmed with us that they do not own this domain. We apologize for the inconvenience but are forced to cancel this transaction and refund you for your purchase. Your refund will appear on your credit card statement within 7-10 days. We have taken action against the seller and suspended them from our services. I apologize that this sale was not a success for you. Best Regards, Wankelley Medina Escrow Support Rep

I guess the "seller" must have been dropped on their head from a great height as a child.

That was a pricey risk you took there. A little bit of common sense goes a long way.

Well for around 20 minutes before I decided to pay for the domain the website Uber.com wasn't loading for me, the whois said it would expire on 2020 but still I thought if such a famous site isn't loading there might be a chance I'd get it. That's why I decided to act on it.

Did you try responding and making a higher offer? Maybe 300?

I recently Google-searched for Insurance.sa.com before listing it on auction here on Namepros (part of the NP rules is to remove it from other platforms in order to avoid unnecessary sale duplications), only to find that Afternic had it for sale, with the entire checkout process unhindered.

I emailed them to request it's removal, as the previous owner may not have updated his domain listings with them, so mistakes do happen in a case like Afternic because the listings are predominantly managed by the domain owners.

In your case, it could be that one of the previous owners of the Uber.com domain had it listed on Afternic sometime in the past, as Uber themselves would not likely have it listed there? On the other hand, if your purchase was made on GoDaddy or another expired-domain platform, then perhaps you'd have had a chance at the possibility ... never the less, this is what dreams are made of :D
