.tv Just bought BMXChannel.tv , thoughts?

I just bought BMXChannel.tv at Sedo for a decent price.

I wanted to have a ___Channel domain to try develop once the whole Channelme advertising kicks in, i reckon BMX is an ideal subject to develop a Channel as there is plenty of videos out there and its easy enough to create original content.

I was a bit late into .tv to regg a channel name so aftermarket was my only option, im glad i got this one as it could be a fun development.

What you guys think of this one?

I like it...obviously how much u paid for it will make the difference as to whether I like the deal.....but the name fits nicely.
Do people still call them BMX!!! When did they first come out?? 1980/81 and still called the same name!!

I did not pay much for it, i dont wanna reveal the exact price yet but it was low $xxx

To be honest BMX is not my field at all but as it has a clear development and many possible income avenues then it was worth a go.

And i dont want to feel completely left out when everyone else is talking about their new, exciting .tv channels (im still a big kid at heart who doesnt want to feel left out :hehe: )

I was taking a quick look at some BMX websites for development ideas and there is plenty out there to inspire, i like http://www.bmxvideo.net/ which would work well as a BMX Channel design. Its an exciting area to develop a site, i could be inspiired to get on a BMX after about 10 years without being nr a bike (only 1 problem though, im disabled now :hehe: ) SO i guess making a BMX .tv site and doing wheelies in my wheelchair will have to do :td:

Trademark Issues?? I cant see any possible trademark issues with anyone with this name unless im missing something.

nice pickup, what kind of quistion is that "is there Tm issues"... bmx cant be trademarked thats like trademarking "mmorpg".. good pick up and goodluck

hey fellows, just asking, a commercial/sports/media term like that will have all types of assorted trademarks around it so someone might have taken a flyer on BMX Channel before. Like Food Network, for example.

i don't see anything live that is concerning but there was an abandoned trademark from 2000 for bmx.tv (lol)

Personally i dont think i can fail with this name as i got it at a decent price & with the Channelme promotions ready to Kick in and tell everyone they should reg their own channel then any decent ____Channel.tv names will be going up in price.

I really hope i get round to developing this one but if not then im sure i could flip it for a decent profit in a few months.
