Thank you for listening!
It's been a long time since I have had the opportunity to speak about domain names.
In 1998-2000, there were interviews - mostly from reporters who looked at domainers as eccentric, abstract... nuts.

Why would someone buy a .com domain name for more than the registration cost?
The jury on .mobi's success has just entered the deliberation room. We can expect a verdict in 24-48 months.
The launch was excellent. Textbook.
Now, we're in the very early build awareness phase. This will come with a scattering of websites... here and there... as well as news.
Adoption won't occur until we have far better equipment to surf the net. You can take Treo, Blackjack, Pearl and put them in the blender of transitional technology... along with 8-track tapes and Betamax tapes. Blend, blend, blend, sucker, blend.
Adoption also won't occur until the content is compelling and significant.
In the meantime, the jury is just sitting down at the table. Everytime a new site is launched, or a big domain name is sold to an end user, or a newspaper article is written the jurors will notice.
The verdict will come.
Let's hope for guilty and a life sentence... we want MOBI to be adopted as a lifelong extension.
Here's to 2011.
