I know this sounds a bit pathetic to all you guys who have been doing this for years, but, up until now, I've always had to accept bank transfers or dollar or sterling cheques for sales. I've found this receipt extremely stimulating and motivating. It's certainly pushing me into being more proactive with my name sales.

    I'm not a crypto-nought, I'm a crypto-littlebit. :)

After a little bit, I'm after a big byte of the cake.

Since Summer I always ask the buyers regarding Bitcoin...
But still without results... they strictly pay via traditional methods...

    Congrats...
Is it more secure than escrow? Is there a central point that holds the Bitcoin until the name gets transferred. Someone asked me to pay via btc, but I chose not to.

I've been wanting to buy Bitcoin since it was about $200, and I wish I had been more persistent. :) There were so many scams around, that I didn't want to use an online exchange. I run a full node, so I'm not worried about wallet providers failing, or not giving me the alts that come from the blockchain splits.
I tried asking for direct payments in Bitcoin, but haven't had any takers. Now I register my names with Name Silo, and I use their payment and transfer process whenever possible. They will pay me in Bitcoin regardless of the way the purchaser pays. I think their transfer process is as good as an escrow, and it's cheaper and faster. The payment processing worked out to be less than $1 based on XE's valuation of Bitcoin. NS charges 7% for the listing (free), sale and transfer, payment receipt, and escrow. I think that is a good deal.

If you managed it that quickly, then I suspect you aren't running a Bitcoin node. I think that this is the only safe way to keep Bitcoin. You can create a watching wallet and an offline wallet, and you will collect all the alts from a blockchain fork.

Not at the moment, but I may sell the Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold that I got for nothing in the last blockchain forks.

Right. Though I'll have to put something in it before I start worrying about safety

Cool :) BTC - BCC is up 18% on Bittrex today too :) I sold out before the Gold fork. Waiting for Segwitx2 now. I'd love to be paid in crypto for my domains!

Escrow needs to get in on bitcoin option payments.

A bit off topic but curious as to opinions we have a name we own that we think might be a great name for a future cryptocurrency the name is Wkii.com ( obviously a play on wiki.com with over 1 billion results) All comments welcome good or not so good-thank you! Wkii.com

Bitcoin has a form of escrow built into it. I was going to experiment with it, but I need to make a few more sales, and to generate a bit more interest first. The escrow can be used by using the multiple signature option. If you specify 3 signatures, and say that at least two must be present to release the funds, then the three parties can be the buyer, the seller, and a trusted third party.

    Hi Kuffy,

Can you share your portfolio size and the number of domain names you sell per month? I'm curious :xf.grin:
