It happened again at GoDaddy !!!

Once again I found a gem of a name and regged it....only to have godaddy send me a failed to reg letter. (email)
I searched the name for the last three days deciding if I wanted to buy it. I did !!! I have the reciept from godaddy and now the name is at dotFM for $2000.00 as a premium name

I can't get a whois at godaddy but this is getting to be frequent and annoying to say the least.

This time the name was one I really wanted.

Since you didn't get it, what was it?
It could have always been a premium, but a registrar or other caused them to report it as available.

How can I find out when it became a premium name held at dotfm ? If my reciept reflects a time date stamp on or at the same time as the DotFM pocession I will never use godaddy again.

Is there a way for me to find out when DotFM took control? I searched this name at godaddy, a few times, over the last three days. Arranged for some serious funding and bought it. Doh!! :td:

Wow amazing that domain was still available.Are you sure it wasn`t a premium all along at dotFM and godaddy`s lookup just didn`t get it right?

More like the whois didn't update on that .fm extension.

That particular domain was showing up as available on a number of registrars just a couple of days ago. I was searching on the .eu extension and used that as one of my 'test words' since I knew it was already gone as a .eu although some registrars were showing it as available for a short time.

Well I have the reciept for it and it's on a three day old list I made. It showed as available for the last three days. You would expect this to be caught at check out....not later.

Not really. GoDaddy is only good at letting you know if a domain is available if the database it queries is up to date. That's outwith their control.
