alright, not meaning to kiss @ss here, but np totaly rocks.
i've been participating in other forums lately of various topics....and it's shocking how uptight and stuck up the mods and admins can be on some sites with their nazi rule and hive mind.
without revealing to much, i joined a discussion people were having about a popular website . Playing devils advocate, i questioned their love of this site by pointing out a few facts that might weight negatively on that site...... i was attacked not by the members...but the mods and admin... Talk about neutrality! And they wouldn't acknowledge the ideas i'd bring up, but they'd focus on a word here or a phrase here to negate the things i was saying. I then wrote a piece on SEO, Google, and new sites....and it was deleted w/out a reason. There was no advertising, no self promotion...just a post on why i thought it takes so long for google to index new sites. Boom...gone w/out explaination. Sheesh, i wasted 15 minutes on that article the least i could have gotten was an 'you violated so and so asinine ' but nope....
I know i'm being vague here, but i'm going to repost my ideas here in the next couple of days to get a neutral feedback from the forum and see if i am the one that's crazy or if they are just being @$$holes.
anyway, i'm thankfull that NP has a level of maturity and trust in it's members to allow them freedom of expression w/out getting in attack mode....if that makes any sense. It's nice to be part of a community that's about the community...and not all about the owners and the need for them to be worshipped.
