I have about 400 domains. I have ideas for developing alot of them into 1 page mini sites. Most of them get no type in traffic whatsoever. Is whypark worth the $100. THe $100 means I can add all 400 of mine to whypark? Do you think its worth it?

It's 100 domains names for $100. If you want to transfer all 400 names, the bill would tally to 400 dollars...

yes, its 100 domains max in one account = USD 99.95.. but don't forget all the 100 domains will have the exactly same appreance / contents / articles. Its mean the whole 100 should talk the same category... otherwise it'll be funny if your account keyworded for porn but you add home insurance domain name. :hehe:

Whypark is good for starters to practice/learn to add/write your own unique content, add google adsense, add meta tag descriptions,etc....

To play it safe, write/create your own content or you will get slapped hard:)

If you don't know html/css just quite yet, I say use a mixture of both park and whypark to get a feel for this hobby.

If you have 400 domains that you want to make into 1 page mini-sites, then yes, WP will be the easiest way of doing it. I would start with a block of a hundred and customize. You might find that a Wordpress site will suit your needs, but will take more time. Or you could end up buying more blocks. Either way, 400 sites WP or not will take some time to do, so you might have more options in the future.

Good luck

Actually the content would be different based on your keyword. Its not that all your domains will have the same articles, unless you have all 100 domains related to the same niche. For example you have 100 domains all related to refinance.

As suggested earlier you could start with a 100 block and then proceed. You could leave your remaining 300 domains parked till the first 100 are totally optimized. I would also recommend adding your own content as much as possible and having only 10-20 tightly keyword centric articles rather than adding tons of keywords with hundreds of articles. That is when your SE rankings get hit badly.

Good luck.. there are many whypark members here who would be glad you give you a referral link if needed.

One thing I never quite got a straight answer on about WhyPark - is there any reason I can't just use it as cheap hosting - i.e. use all my own content, my own HTML and CSS, create my own templates and upload them? Obviously I won't have access to things like PHP and forms handlers, but for just putting up cheap one or two page mini-sites - but completely under my own designs and content?

As far as I know, this is ok. We're busy doing just that.

It is a great bang for the buck, You can put your own content on your pages, Once you learn a bit, you can make your pages, about any way you want them.

I don't know if they still offer it, but I was able to obtain a free trial to test one name. Unfortunately, it did not work out but I got a good idea of their system.

Why not shoot them an email and see if the trial is still available.

Try this link for a free single domain at WhyPark.com - http://www.whypark.com/siteref.cfm ( I think it still works)-I am working on a few domains at the moment and the pages look much better, if you know some html and css, than traditional parked pages. You can basically make them look how ever you want and add your own Google adsense account and keep all your click money.

P.S. If you have a affiliate account with Commision Junction, Linkshare or any other affiliate company you can post banners to increase your revenue. Take a look at www.billamusic.com , www.cubicletees.com , www.ghostskies.com. There not great but revenue is already much better than any parking co and most of them have actual content rather than just adds.

Thanks!

unless you know absolutely nothing about HTML/development I would say No.

Stay away unless you're an investor that has no experience in development. Even then - hire a professional to do a good job for you.

Something similar to WhyPark, less flexible but FREE, is offered by Park4Money! My only problem with it is - why should anybody (other than robots) click on those pages?

Regarding Netmeg's comment re: using Whypark for cheap hosting- sure. I host my wife's small biz website (http://www.thesettable.biz ) on whypark (it's a work in progress, BTW). CJBay if you are at all serious about parking you will find that Whypark will pay for itself in no time. $100 for 100 domains indefinitely is a deal. :$:
