Is this normal ?

Today I was moving some boxes around when I suddenly felt dizzy I disregarded it though and kept on working and about 15mins later I got a pounding headache. As I was on the way home today my head ache got worst so I decided that when I came home I would take a rest and so I did, I sat on a my pc chair for about 10mins and blood just started gushing from my right nostril in large chunks and clumpy. I bled for about 25mins continiously then it just stopped, Is this normal?

Im gonna say go see a doctor as soon as you can, thats not something you just wanna say, eh, it happens. Cause it shouldn't. Go get checked out, as much as you probably dont want to, you really should!

Please call a doctor and have them check it out. Those symptoms together are not a good sign and could even indicate really bad stuff like brain tumors. Better to get it checked out than not to.

My mom's a doctor assistant, she says if you have chest pains you have to see a doctor asap, especially if you're over 35. I think it's the same with headaches. My advice - go see a doctor, it might be blood clot.

People normally have blood coming out of their nostrils when they accid. bumped their forehead over something hard or the temperature around you is very hot... But in your case if you didnt experience the above cases prior to the bleeding I believe its more than just that... You' d better see a doctor immediately!

It sounds like you have high blood pressure.... be careful and get to the doctor right now! Don't do very much activity in the meantime. Seriously.

Also, if a pain relief medicine helps, like aspirin, it doesn't mean you shouldn't see a doctor. Take it wisely, but prepare for worse if you won't check your blood pressure.

Oh man, I'd yet to visit this thread ... been so busy, etc! :gl:

I've been having nose bleeds regularly of late, seems like whenever I'm in and out of the cold (and it has been COLD here lately). My wife says it's 'cause it's so dry and I have very thin linings in my nose, etc., but now I'm not so sure ... I am going to do as HOPEFULLY YOU HAVE DONE ALREADY ... make an appointment to see the Dr. today (if not sooner), IMHO! :talk:

PS. I'm not getting any out of the normal headaches, or dizziness, or anything ... but you folks think maybe it's related to high-blood pressure?!?

I can only repeat the advice given be other people, but I think that next time anyone gets a bad headache or dizzyness whilst doing something like moving boxes you should sit down and rest!

I asked my mom tonight, as I mentioned above she's burse assistant.
She said that you had high blood pressury, and that probably a capillary in your nose bursted. You are REALLY lucky that it happened in your nose, not in your brain or heart. Stroke, it is.
