Is this normal?

well i was going through my adsense things this morning and was quite puzzled.
The last few days i had been getting 1-2 clicks and that, i was kinda annoyed considering i was getting 1000+ hits
anyway i got afew $1.35 clicks but then i checked today and i had 10 clicks, all $.02 each. i know i can't change anything but is that amount and that many times normal?
also does anyone have any tips to monetize these further (proxies)

I think it is quite normal. I often see huge rate clicks sometimes and sometimes I see many clicks worth couple of cents each. It all depends on ads shown..

That is what is so pathetic about adsense, 2 cent clicks aren't even worth a publishers time, I got a 1 cent click with adsense, and that was the day i told them bye bye.

Another thing when you think you may be getting 1-2 cent clicks.. they might have been clicks on site targeted ads, in which case, you wouldn't get paid for the click and only the impressions. So check and see how many site targeted ads you have had ran on your site, that could explain it.

getting a high cpc on a proxy could be hard, but you might also try cutting down the number of ads you display which should help keep only the high cpc ads (if any) displayed.

I remember reading on Mubin Ahmed's blog that you should include some text about your proxy on your proxy. This can help ad targeting and increase your CTR.

Its hard to get relevant ads for a proxy. unless you fill up with content on a subject still it would be hard to stop these .02 clicks since it happens coz smart pricing. also its hard to block competitors in a proxy site.

I consistently see over $1.25 clicks for several of my proxies. I think a key ingredient in making a decent proxy site is to make it at least 3 pages: Home, About, and Terms of Service, wording each with original content.

Experiment with differnent ad blocks in different locations and see which ones work the best.

Regarding traffic and # of clicks: in June, one of my proxies had over 23k uniques resulting in just over 800 AdSense page impressions. Checking the server logs, I found the vast majority of traffic is from unknown sources, only about 12% was US. I figure a good number of these are using some sort of header filtering program running through localhost prior to even visiting the Internet which can further reduce the number of Adsense ads being served.
