Is this immoral?

i got this pm on another forum.

you shouldn't have a .org domain, is misleading and immoral

i bought my domain name and sell templates because it was the only one available with those 2 keywords.
now if i quote wikipedia

The .org TLD is mostly associated with non-profit organizations.

i have bolded the mostly word to stand out.so it does not say "must be" or "have to".
if i invent a .tanicos extension tomorrow and say ...this extension is only for people i choose :D will that stop you registering the domain you want with that extension? i don't think so...
what do you think?
if tomorrow you can register let's say pizza.org would you sell pizza?or use it for non-profit?

Although the .org TLD was intended for a specific purpose, there are no restrictions on it, preventing it from being used commercially. Its become widely accepted as a "safe" TLD with consumers, and quite frankly its not immoral or unethical that you have it and intend to use it.

Agreed. To call the use of a .org for commercial purposes "Immoral" is silly.

No its not immoral someone is just messing with you. .org's are used all the time for many different reasons other than for organizations.

a different note here

there's no stopping anyone regging steelsupplies.org and bikiniphotos.org.
but i'd hate to see .org go the way of .net and just become another poor cousin to .com.
i keep quite a few .orgs (even when the .coms are still available). and IMHO .org names work best when they somehow fit the extension

You are right about the .tv and .ws - so whats wrong with using .org, in my case i would prefer a .com/.net but well i guess its up to you
