Hello everyone,

I'm thinking about starting a website just for the adsense revenue.
Should I do it ?
If you think its a bad idea please explain why.
Also would love to hear about your experience in this field.

If it is a properly developed website, there are probably better monetization options.

If it is like some low quality mini-site, the glory days for those are largely in the past.

With the recent Google updates and general competition it’s getting harder and harder to make this model work consistently.

But when it works it’s a beautiful thing.

A big sale of an Adsense/affiliate site is what got me started in domain name investing 😉

Start building and let us know in a year from now on how it's going.

Ken (DotDB) builds out affiliate sites on his GEO domains and makes decent $$ that'll cover renewal fees:

Acquired the domain PlacedesVosges․com from GoDaddy. This is the type of domain I like the most—201,000 monthly search volume, 14 EMDs, and 59 total domains registered containing the keyword. Most importantly, it's a geo domain in France, the most visited country in the world.😀 pic.twitter.com/MIVJ11POdi

Starting a website for AdSense revenue can be a good idea if you’re creating valuable content that attracts the right audience. However, it’s important to know that relying solely on AdSense might not generate the revenue you expect unless you have substantial traffic. It can also take time to grow, so patience is key!

In my experience, diversifying monetization options is smart. Beyond AdSense, there are other ad networks like Aads, for example. They’re great for niche audiences and can often provide better CPM rates if you have visitors interested in crypto or tech topics. You could also consider affiliate marketing, sponsored content, or selling digital products if you have a loyal audience.

My advice: Create content that you’re passionate about and solves problems for readers. This will naturally help you build a steady, engaged audience over time.

Besides AdSense, you can try affiliate marketing, sponsored posts, selling digital products, or memberships. Ad networks like Ezoic or Mediavine (if you have enough traffic) can also be great alternatives. What kind of site are you planning?

Give Playmatic a try! They offer high CPM rates and a great bonus program.
