domain Is there a 'minimum value' for 1 letter domains with a 2 letter TLD?

I may be able to get some single letter domains (with a 2 letter TLD), and I was wondering if there was some sort of a 'minimum value' on domains like this? For example, if the domains were going to cost me $2,200 each, would it be a no-brainer to purchase them because I'd easily be able to sell them for more then that?

I've heard some people say that domains like this are easily worth low-to-mid $xx,xxx because they're so rare, but is that the case?

It depends on the extension. There are a few I can think of that would not be worth $2,200. IMO.

1-letter domains are available in a few extensions including .ws .im but they have premium pricing (ยฃ1000/yr or so). They are still available for a reason: too expensive to renew if you don't have a sound business plan, and too difficult to resell because of the expensive renewal fees.

Someone is selling a portfolio of 1-letter domains here, I believe these are domains subject to standard renewal fee. If they were so good they should have sold in no time.

So yes, it depends on the extension. Exotic extensions remain novelty items most of the time.

Always think about what you'll do with it.. Such expensive domains carry hefty renewal fees.. If you can monetize right away I'd forget about it. As for reselling for profit.. Wont happen, If a buyer really wanted then they would buy them now while your talking about it..

I'd spend that same money on a solid .com or gold...

That may be difficult though, considering I haven't said who I might be buying them from or even what the TLD is.
