I know what you're thinking -- what a terrible domain!

But take a closer look.

Not only is Is The Sun Burning? a useful resource as a developed site, it has a 744,000 Alexa Rank! I haven't been keeping close tabs on the traffic and no longer keep Google Analytics active (I could kick myself for that!), but it appears that this site has gained significantly in popularity.

There are 200+ links to Isthesunburning.com from StumbleUpon.com.

There are close to 600 Google results in a query for isthesunburning.com

I've since reinstalled Google Analytics, and this domain has averaged between 80-120 uniques a day! About half of that is type-ins, while another half is from a number of forums and StumbleUpon accounts. I'll post the traffic stats and move this post to the Traffic Sales section after about a week when I have more than two days' data to show.

IsTheSunBurning.com received a spike of nearly 700 unique visitors the other day -- it seems certain communities/forums find the site, post the link, and lots of members look at the site.

Since I reinstalled my tracking software on April 16th, the site has received just under 1,300 absolute unique visitors. Its Alexa ranking is still hovering around 766,000.

The site still receives between 20 and 200 unique visits per day, with unpredictable spikes (various social bookmarking sites find it, then it spreads for a few days with tons of traffic, then it calms down to 20-40 uniques a day).
