Is it worth registering .ws and .cc 1 worders?

Hi,

Wil these extensions rise in value--there are still some good, short, commercial 1 word domains left in these extensions?

Also, is any one BETTER than the other?

I would take .cc over .ws. However, I would take .ws over .name. Overall, there are more acronyms that work well with .cc than .ws IMO. I have developed www.vip.cc ---VIP Consumer Credit.

Yeah, .cc has risen a lot in popularity recently, while .ws, even though it is being branded as .website seems to be behind than .cc.

same.cc and plays.cc

There are still better (I'm sure) .cc's and .ws's left. It just gets expensive to keep regging them!

Those are pretty good ones. I am actually somewhat surprised they have not been regged. Hoewever, don't expect to get someone to pay you $1 for the domains (like someone did for beauty.cc). If someone offers you xxx, that is about all the market is bearing for .cc's like the ones you regged. You may want to contact the person who has play.cc and see if they would like plays.cc. You might get an easy sale.

Aside from the ridiculous prices I post for my domains at Sedo, I usually offer re-sellers (and other addicted NP'ers very reasonable prices for my domains). That is also a good suggestion about contacting the owner of play.cc. Thanks again!

I like the low reg price for .ws and the heavy marketing push... I also like the versatility of .cc but generally feel any reg fee over $10 is too much.

I have to agree with that. I pretty much feel they are on a level playing field, and the only diffrence is cost. With .cc generally around $20, it hat to be a little stronger keyword for me to take .cc over .ws if both were available.
