If you can find a deal

from what I have seen, investors have been overpaying even for an average name because it's 1 word.

I'd say - it depends on your background. If you are in your first or even second year of domaining - don't. You won't be able yet to analyze what from the leftovers in .ai has at least a small chance of selling.
However if you can read NameBio, use DotDb or similar, work with AI on this - e.g. you have your system of picking names in other than .com tlds - then for sure (but even then good, sellable .ai is very hard to find now). On top I believe their ''lifespan'' (demand period for ai) won't be long.

Hello, 1koko. Of course! ai domains are very valuable for investment, I think. Because ai is a potentially high value of the industry, now ai is developing at a high speed, applied to all walks of life, the future potential is unlimited.

It's an oversaturated market now, some similarities to the XYZ thing. I don't hold any .AI names. Yes, AI seems to be the future, but when was the last time you have visited an .AI website? Probably never as the 99.9% of internet users..

try and see his question as more of a... can I still invest and reg ai names

the answer is no. because all good ones are gone.

what about buying ai names on markets? the answer is also no because good ones are heavily overpriced and sell for 4 and 5fig bids. of course half may never get paid but and its suspicions but u still gotta put in the bid.

Thats a good way of seeing it I guess because I have actually never visited an .ai website.

It seems to be the case that the potential of artificial intelligence is now being seen by many and it may be too late to buy a domain name for. ai.
