I have a few Poker domain names that I wanted to turn into mini-sites and have Gaming, Casino and Poker ads run on there like Full Tilt poker.net.

But I seen on here that someone mentioned its illegal for a US citizen to have those on their site.....is that true?

Am I not allowed to advertise Poker sites on my site?

If that's true why is it i see there commercials on TV all the time?

Thanks for any help

I am not US citizen, so i am just suggest to search more in search engine. I think if you advertise your gambling site on another your site it OK. It not allowed if you using Adwords. Just my opinion

Id definitely stay away from sports betting or online casino ads as those activities ARE illegal. Poker is more of a gray area, but there are state laws which come into play too. You really should talk to a lawyer - or take this to the "legal issues" section of this forum.

Here's a good analysis of the UIGEA which may be helpful -
